SANTA ANA, Calif.
— A local barber shop is offering a $50 gift card to anyone who can provide a picture of a dead 9-month-old baby.
The Santa Ana Police Department on Friday released a statement saying officers were called to the Santa Ana Sports Barbershop in the 900 block of N. Santa Ana Boulevard just after 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday after a woman reported that a young child had been shot in the head.
The woman told officers she was sitting at the barber chair when she heard someone yell, “Get the baby, get the baby.”
Officers responded and found the 9-week-old infant, who had been taken to a hospital, the statement said.
Police said the baby was pronounced dead at the scene.

Santa Monica police are looking for a suspect in that case.
Police also said a 6-year old girl was shot at a home on the 1300 block of North Santa Ana Street on Tuesday.
The girl is in critical condition at a hospital.
A 6-month old boy was also shot at the home in Santa Rosa on Tuesday, Nov., 24, 2017, and a 2-year baby girl was killed in a hit-and-run accident on East Montague Street on Friday, Nov 4, 2017 near the intersection of East La Brea Avenue and North Montague Drive.
