Kroger online retail stores are one of the biggest players in the online shopping space, but the supermarket giant has also been criticised by a number of customers for its low prices.
Kroger is now opening its online shop to other countries, with plans to expand in Asia.
The chain has been criticised for its pricing policies and its slow pace of expansion.
Many customers, including many who live in Europe, have complained about the lack of competition.
Krogeas online shopping site, Kroger, launched in the US in the spring of 2019.
A US spokesperson told Al Jazeera that it “is open to customers in the United States who want to shop online and in stores across the country”.
The spokesperson added that the store will be “a place where customers can shop online, shop for products and receive discounts on their groceries and household goods”.
Kroger opened its first store in the Philippines in 2016 and has since expanded to seven countries.
In March 2018, Krogers online store in Japan opened for business, with the company announcing that it will be expanding to more countries over the coming years.
“We’re expanding from Japan to China, India, Vietnam, Korea, Singapore, and South Korea, and we’re working with retailers across Asia to expand our presence,” said Kroger spokesperson Laura O’Neill.
